Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Stratcast ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Stratcast platform at stratcast.io. We provide a strategic context broadcasting service that allows organisations to author and distribute strategic context to AI tools via the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

For questions about this policy, contact us at hello@stratcast.io.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated as you use the service.

Account information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google's OAuth service. We use this to create and identify your account.

Organisation information

We store the organisation name and any strategic context items (priorities, values, constraints, goals) you author within the platform.

Usage information

We collect analytics data about how you use Stratcast — including pages visited, features used, and session duration — to improve the product. This data is pseudonymous and processed by PostHog.

Technical information

We collect standard server logs including IP address, browser type, device type, and timestamps. This information helps us maintain security and diagnose technical issues.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and organisation
  • Provide and operate the Stratcast service
  • Serve your strategic context to connected AI tools via MCP
  • Send transactional emails (account actions, security alerts)
  • Improve and develop new product features
  • Maintain security and prevent abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your strategic context data for training AI models.

4. Third-party services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate Stratcast:

  • Google OAuth — for authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — for hosting and infrastructure. Data is stored in the EU (eu-west-1).
  • Neon — for database hosting. Subject to Neon's Privacy Policy.
  • PostHog — for product analytics. Data is processed on PostHog's EU cloud. Subject to PostHog's Privacy Policy.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory reasons.

Analytics data is retained for 12 months.

Server logs are retained for 90 days.

6. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

PostHog may set a cookie to maintain a pseudonymous analytics identifier across sessions. This cookie does not contain personal information.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal data
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to certain processing of your data

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@stratcast.io. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Data security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted database storage, and access controls. We do not store passwords — authentication is handled exclusively via Google OAuth.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We will notify you if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data.

9. International transfers

Our infrastructure is hosted in the European Union. If you access Stratcast from outside the EU, your data may be transferred to and processed in the EU. We take appropriate steps to ensure such transfers comply with applicable data protection law.

10. Children

Stratcast is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at hello@stratcast.io.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated to registered users by email.
